OMEGA VANZETTI's new VANGUARD 2-wire Series infrared pyrometers are a
family of non-contact surface temperature measuring devices comprising
both fiber optic infrared and fixed distance line-of-sight sensors. This
product range includes standalone units with outputs compatible with
instrumentation such as readouts, controllers, and recording devices.
Sensors are also available which mate specifically to OMEGA VANZETTI's
thermal monitor rack mount or table top chassis.
The fiber optic sensor allows surface temperature measurements to be made where direct line of sight is not possible. These sensors can make measurements in high energy fields and environments having "dirty" atmospheres, as well as in hazardous locations where the detector electronics must be mounted remotely. The TM-1 and TM-2 Series covers spot sizes down to 0.004" with response times as low as 50 milliseconds and temperature ranges from 50 to 3700 deg. C (120 to 6692 deg. F) in step ranges.
